I was born and raised in Hamilton County Tennessee, "Chattanooga". Chattanooga was a major rail and river hub during the 1800's, this made it very important to both sides during the war. Chattanooga changed hands many times, because of this, the area is rich in WFSI history. Camps and battle sites cover Hamilton and surrounding counties, earthworks can still be found in abundance. Just one mile from my home was the staging camps for Sherman's infamous march to the sea. I found many relics in his Graysville, Georgia camps "most of these now built over".
My Dad hooked me on relic hunting, true history and state rights when very young "9 years old". He educated me to the truth of that great war....This will I pass on to all that will listen... I feel it should be an obligation to all Southron to do same.
I would always tag along with Dad. As a teen I did not do it much at all, you know, girls and cars:^)) After my tour in country "1964-65" with the U.S. Navy I started at it with a passion! I can think of no other way to find the peace I do when relic hunting. I love to water hunt and have found many relics diving, this is now a no/no in most cases, check local and federal laws before you do any water hunting. Hard to understand the logic of so called smart people, how can letting it rust away preserve it??
Poor health keeps me from hunting as much now, I still get out some when these old bones will let me "too many years of bending and digging. Relics are still found, there are many still out there, just harder to find...I now have more time to apply my efforts to saving Southern Heritage and state rights. I attend all the Southron rallies close to home, something we all must do.
My name is Tommy Aaron, my friends call me "PoPcoRn" or PoP. This odd nickname was given me by my late Dad. As a young relic hunter I would start jumping up and down every time I found a good relic "heck, I still do :^))". Dad would scream out, son settle down, your hopping around like popcorn in a hot pan! The name stuck and here I am, a 62 year old man with the handle of popcorn:^) The upper and lower case spelling is something I started doing a few years back when I went online. I have been a student of The War for Southern Independence all my life. In my studies I find more and more the South was right.

"Those people" just don't get it!!
The true bloods of the South are a distinct ethnic people, they are also Confederate American by birth. Dixie is a conquered nation, being conquered does not change the above truths!! They tried to destroy our Southern culture during the infamous reconstruction implemented by Congress, which imposed martial law in the Southern States, from 1866 to 1877... eleven years!!! We became U.S. citizens by force, not choice!
They have chosen the Southern white as the focal scapegoat of our time. This in, politics, media, comics, literature, film and television; dealing with religion, race relations, work and lifestyle in defining Southern whites. The Southron which represents faith, country, pride of heritage, hard work, kinship loyalty, traditional values and way of life is being trampled on by "those people" that hate us so...With all this hate, why don't they just let us go!!!
America's South is losing it's regional distinctiveness by progress, the PC crowd and appeasement of minorities. Society is demoralizing the Southern people through typecasting as stupid, rednecks and hillbilly's. Yet America is destroying a part of itself that should have been left alone, let go, explored and listened to. Because of the guilt and questioning which his/her existence creates in the world of the un-Godly, do-gooders and PCer's. Many Southron feel inadequate and orphaned in their own land!!!
"Those people" preach we should practice tolerance. Well I think we have practiced too much tolerance for too long!!! We have been so tolerant we are losing our past and future! We have let our children become second class citizens in their schools. They have been forced to be ashamed of themselves and their heritage! If we do not correct this, they will grow-up never knowing the truth and our future as a distinct ethnic people is doomed!
Old South Southron were of high moral character, honour, trust and integrity. We as Southron need to get back to these standards. Christian's are not the only warriors in the struggle for our heritage and place in life...Many of my friends are not religious, some are Jewish and we understand each other and get alone just fine. ANY MAN, CHRISTIAN OR NO! Can posses these traits: High moral character, honour, trust and integrity. And if any have these qualities and wish to support our noble effort, they must be welcome regardless their beliefs! Wars over religion will destroy any workable effort in any cause. I pray and read the bible a lot, many friends join in with me. But my friends that do not are no less my friends! And they are still in my prayers.

STATEMENT
Many know me well enough to know, I am a die-hard Confederate and avid supporter for a Free Independent South. This is most evident by my writings, actions and websites.
Many have ask, why I am not a member of some of the many organizations that champion?? the cause of Dixie. I do have many friends that are active in many of these organizations and I will not belittle their efforts, I know they are true patriots. My problem is, the in fighting and power struggles in the leadership of most these groups. This does nothing to better the cause and takes the fire from those willing to continue the efforts.
I have listed below, "in my humble opinion" some of things that at times, can handicap us:
We have many "not just a few" that use our efforts for their own agenda. These being those in the identity movement, "I have confronted many of these clowns at almost every Southern function". I will not even mention the numbers of kkk or arian types I have crossed paths with. We can not allow these people hidden or otherwise within our ranks. This low class will cast a dark shadow over any honourable efforts in our movement. They must, by all means possible be barred, removed from our functions and groups...PERIOD!!!

I'm sure there are many patriots out there feeling the same as myself. They want to come on board, join in the effort, but with whom? Are most of the Southern Groups really concerned with the future of Dixie and what little is left of our heritage??? Some times, I truly wonder. "My dad's tougher then yours", I have seen this ego fighting going on for over thirty years! Daily, you can read in the Southern mailings, blogs/forums of one group's displeasure with another. Some one will not like efforts of one and claim theirs more worthy of support.
Then there's the power struggles in many groups, some looking for unworthy recognition and others the thoughts of power. Folks need to stop thinking of themselves/groups and start thinking of the battles before us! These battles must be fought and won for the Southern cause, not to put feathers, fame our fortune on one person or group! Many suffer the worst ailment of all, PC fear! They hold back on many workable efforts fearing stepping on toes of the PC crowd!...Well folks, these people are our greatest enemy! Want victory in our lifetime?...Get some grits and step on a few toes!!!

Confederate Re-enacters: These are wonderful folk that keep the memory of our heroes alive. It takes a lot of energy, study and money to pursue this fascinating hobby/effort. I did it myself for many years and I truly applaud their devotion...But
When protesting, at Southern rallies, meetings with the press, or government officials...We should dress in appropriate attire. Presenting ourselves as living in the 19th century at the above gives those people ammunition "saying we want to live in the past". The re-enactors have their place, re-enacting and duty as honour guard.
Are we saying that we are wanting to revive the past or save it!...Don't relive it, save it!! Are we, our own worst enemy?
I believe with time, my prayers will be answered and a leader will come forth. This person will unite all Southron groups into one powerful movement. When that day comes, I'll stop being a keyboard warrior and jump headfirst into this new movement with bells on. Right now, all I see is a lot of smoke and no fire...We all must pray for The Southland and this new leader, whomever he or she may be.
I know I'll get negative feed back on this, but it is just my humble opinion.
I am a Christian living for the promise that loves God, family, my fellow person and my country "Dixie" I am married to a wonderful wife of 40 years and have two son's that love the hobby & the South also. They do not relic hunt as much now, but we have a ball when we do get together.
I must admit , I do not care much for our present government. I would not cause riot or bear arms against it though" at least not yet" The time may come that we all must fight I will and have spoke out against it's controlling actions, stupid laws and it's strangle hold on state rights. Most are blinded by the foolish notion things will work out, some how it will get better. Well that is not going to happen. We must do something before it is too late!
Those that are blind to the works of Big Brother have not seen, or forgotten how great this country use to be...It was something to be proud of. More is taken from us each day and we let them do it! We are now even told the correct way to speak of things, even if it's a lie! We are told how we should feel about things and what we can and can not do in our daily lives! If we do not follow these Big Brother rules we are labeled a racist, hate monger or redneck and in some cases even put in jail. Most of our rights and freedoms are eroding and our history is slowly being changed to please the few.
As long as I live my efforts will be for state rights, my heritage and the memory of my Southern Forefathers which are dear to me and I will tell of their deeds in truth. Some may take offense at facts stated on my pages, they are facts none the less. It is not my intention to hurt or offend anyone.
The Southern American, is a reflection of the pride I have for my Rebel ancestors that fought for that noble cause, state rights and Southern Independence "none of which owned a slave"!
