Who is T. Warren
T Warren is Mayme Warren's daddy, of course. T began his involvement in activism 30 years ago when he started the battle of righting wrongs in the Native American world. He was instrumental in getting laws changed in his homestate of Illinois, which dealt with the desecration of Native people's graves. T is still active in the Indian Cause.
Upon entering the Sons of Confederate Veterans in 2001, T's main focus of activism was turned to the Southern Movement. He previously served Camp 1802, Illinois Division, as Camp Commander, he was the Illinois Division Heritage Defense Officer, and served the Deo Vindice Chapter of the Illinois MOS&B as their Southern Brigade Commander. At the SCV National Reunion in 2003, he was awarded the National Heritage Defense Medal and the National Distinguished Service Award. T spends countless hours at the keyboard, writing articles, letters, and statements of protest on issues relating to the South, her symbols and her heritage.
T has been a musician since the age of 13, and has been in various bands in the 40 years that have followed. Ranging from country and folk, to hard rock, and several venues in between, he has played on stage with people such as James Taylor, John Prine, Dan Fogelberg, and the band REO Speedwagon. T is the founder of the Border Ruffian Band, which performs a mix of music from 1860s period songs, to Southern activism tunes. Border Ruffians currently have a CD released, and are working on their second endeavor at this time.
In addition to activism, T spent 25 years racing professional flattrack motorcycles, he has been trained in cullinary skills at a school in Canada, and he has owned and operated his own restaurant and a video store.
In addition to Mayme, T has two older daughters, by a previous marriage, who live in North Carolina. He is a dedicated father, husband, and activist who somehow finds time to devote full attention to all three.
